Nickelodeon is set to air California Dreaming<\/em>, a scripted musical event from legendary, multi-hyphenate creator, producer and manager Simon Fuller and three-time Grammy award winning songwriter and producer, Ryan Tedder. The hour-long event follows a group of talented young musicians auditioning to attend an esteemed performing arts boarding school, and features original songs written by Tedder.\u00a0 California Dreaming<\/em> airs Thursday, Dec. 16, at 7 p.m. (ET\/PT) on Nickelodeon.<\/p>\n California Dreaming<\/em> stars Jenna Raine Simmons (Hyperlinked<\/em>) as \u201cJenna,\u201d Liv Simone (Raven’s Home<\/em>) as \u201cLiv,\u201d Angelina Green (America’s Got Talent<\/em>) as \u201cNina,\u201d Ben Krieger (National tour of \u201cFinding Neverland\u201d) as \u201cBen\u201d and Max Fincham (Invasion<\/em>) as \u201cMax.\u201d<\/p>\n California Dreaming<\/em> is produced by Swirl Films (Saints & Sinners<\/em>) and is created and executive produced by Fuller (American Idol<\/em>, So You Think You Can Dance<\/em>) and Tedder (Songland<\/em>).\u00a0 The teleplay is by Genna Ryan (Young Sheldon<\/em>, The Thundermans<\/em>) and story is by Janae Bakken (Greenhouse Academy<\/em>) and Ryan, who are also executive producers.\u00a0 It is directed and executive produced by Matt Stawski (Side Effects<\/em>). Marc Dworkin & Sean Cunningham (Julie and the Phantoms<\/em>) served as consulting producers. Production of California Dreaming <\/em>for Nickelodeon was overseen by Shauna Phelan and Zack Olin, Co-Heads of Nickelodeon & Awesomeness Live-Action.
