As part of its development strategy, Robert Clergerie announces the appointment of renowned fashion designer, Roland Mouret as the new Creative Director of Robert Clergerie.

Roland Mouret, who already worked with the founder Mr. Robert Clergerie in the past, demonstrates the determination with which the new shareholders, Fung Brands Limited and Jean-Marc Loubier, intend to position Robert Clergerie in the universe of international shoes and accessories.

Roland Mouret, partner with Simon Fuller’s XIX Entertainment Ltd., has firmly established himself as one of the most influential and sought after fashion designers. As one of the leading lights of the demi-couture movement, Roland Mouret has evolved his technique of draping and structure to meet the growing demands of modern ready-to-wear. His designs are also sought after by celebrities as diverse as Scarlett Johansson, Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett and Uma Thurman among many others.

Over a 16 year period, he held key managing positions within the LVMH Group, notably as Directeur General Adjoint of Louis Vuitton Malletier, and as President and CEO of Céline. He joined the Escada Group as Group CEO in Munich in 2007 where he implemented a major restructuring program. Since 2008 he has been advising and restructuring international companies in Asia and Europe.
