LONDON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–April 21st 2012

UK media and management entrepreneur Simon Fuller has set his sights on the social TV space after his company, XIX Entertainment, moved to create a partnership with social TV platform yap.TV. The new enterprise launches with the new TV show ‘¡Q’VIVA! The Chosen’, a joint venture between XIX Entertainment, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, and Jamie King.

The show will incorporate originally produced material on your smartphone or tablet, while simultaneously broadcasting content on yap.TV’s Live Pulse audio synchronisation technology. This provides a platform to ensure fans a social experience while watching the show at a level that previously wasn’t possible.

“The digital age allows us to redefine entertainment and create so many new ways for the consumer to enhance their experience and pleasure,” Simon Fuller said. “The second screen does just that, by creating an interactive and social experience with the programs we love.”

¡Q’VIVA! The Chosen’ has been the breakout TV hit of the spring in Latin America with over 30 million viewers tuning in each week.
