(London, 9th September 2012) “This season I wanted to show how the design criteria that is inherent to the Victoria Beckham brand can be applied in new ways while still staying true to my aesthetic and purpose. Quality and luxury have always been the essence of the ready-to-wear and these remain the cornerstone of the collection while a new notion of versatility, modernity and ease have been introduced.
Signature silhouettes and details have been referenced and progressed in new forms with contrast and texture. This has allowed me to continue to investigate embracing the female form and further explore the notion of how a woman can emotionally connect with her clothes and how they make her feel.
Developing this collection has been an incredibly exciting time for me and I’ve challenged myself to create what I personally want to wear and what I believe the Victoria Beckham woman will also want to wear.”
