Born on 2 May 1975 in Leytonstone in England, Beckham signed with Manchester United as a schoolboy and made his first appearance for the first team in 1992, aged only 17 at the time. Beckham was ranked second best player in the world (FIFA) in 1999 and 2001.

In 2003, he joined the legendary Real Madrid club, helping them to win a league title and a Spanish Supercup.

In 2007, he moved to the United States to sign with Los Angeles Galaxy, winning his second consecutive MLS Championship with the team on 1 December 2012.

He is the second most capped player in the history of English football, and this is the sixth club of his career that has seen him play in five different championships.
