Multi platinum UK recording star Will Young stormed the stage of the 2013 Olivier Awards in London last night, leading the Kit Kat girls in a new revival of Cabaret, which has been nominated for several leading West End theatre Awards in the last six months.
Will Young led the Rufus Norris-directed revival of the Kander & Ebb musical classic, and he was nominated for his performance which ran through 2012 and early 2013 through a UK tour and sold out season at London’s Savoy theatre.
Will Young has received strong support for his portrayal of Emcee from West End critics, and it is the latest in the string of impressive stage roles which have seen the singer – who still hold the record for the biggest selling UK single of the 21st century – step away from music to explore theatre and film.
