VICTORIA BECKHAM has announced that her eponymous fashion business will join the London Fashion Week schedule for the first time in September 2018 for a 10th anniversary show celebrating a decade in the business.
The catwalk event reflects a series of changes to the presentation of her autumn/winter 2018 collection in February. Instead of the Sunday morning catwalk slot she has occupied for previous seasons at New York Fashion Week, she showcased the clothes during presentations at the James Burden Mansion on Manhattan’s Upper East Side – a throwback to the appointments she held as a fledgling fashion designer in the early days.
The 10-year anniversary, which will also see Beckham launch special pieces and activations throughout the year follows the news that the brand has acquired £30 million from growth equity firm Neo Investment Partners in exchange for a minority stake in her company.
The union allows Victoria Beckham Limited, as the global luxury fashion brand is officially registered, to enhance its digital and bricks-and-mortar retail presence, drive core categories and launch new categories and collaborations, according to an official statement from VBL announced. The company will move to new West London premises in the spring of 2018.
